I've always thought of myself as really average. Not ugly, but not beautiful. In today's world, social media has a special way of making women feel like they aren't good enough. Unrealistic beauty standards are the name of the game. While, of course, boudoir pictures are edited professionally, they are also very raw. Curves. Natural bodies. Imperfections. All together in a way that makes you feel beautiful, sexy, classy, and very far from average. This was unlike anything I've ever done. You can usually find me in leggings and a hoodie. No one should be afraid that they aren't good enough to do this shoot and feel awesome about it!
I was added to Kristy's facebook page by a coworker/friend. She told me it was a boudoir photographer's page, but also a really funny and relatable community. After being in the group for a few months, seeing the pictures that would get posted into it, I decided to book my shoot.
The only thing I wish I had done differently is not to obsess so much over the need for things to be perfect. I got my lip waxed for the first time in my life for this, and it really was not even necessary. You don't have to change anything. Just chill.
The only people I've shared these pictures with are my boyfriend and some close girl friends. This was really for me and my confidence!
