They say rain is good luck on your wedding day. It signifies that your marriage will last. As you know, a knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie - therefore, when you "tie the knot" on a rainy day, your marriage is supposedly just as hard to unravel.

However, typically, rain is not great for wedding day photos! But Kat & Justin didn't let the rain spoil their day. Did it limit our choices for photos, sure! But it certainly did NOT spoil their fun and celebration on their perfect wedding day!

A little about the couple...

"Justin & I met when I was at a girl's night out and swore off all men!

We were out bar hopping in Morristown, New Jersey and ended up at the same bar, Laundromat - yes, that's the name of the bar. My sister, Erin, spotted a group of guys walking into the bar and recognized them from the town she lived in. She ran over to say hi and I followed closely behind.

Justin thought I was cute, but was too afraid to talk to me. So, he had his friend do some digging before he approached me himself. (He thought my name was Emily, so his friend must have very bad hearing). Once we started talking we hit it off and spent the rest of the night side by side. After exchanging numbers and texting for the next two days, I asked Justin on our first date.

It was our two year anniversary and Justin planned a wonderful anniversary weekend. The last planned activity of the weekend was going to see Christmas lights at Peddlers Village, with my best friend and her boyfriend. We walked around for awhile to see all the decorations and lights, and stopped a few times to take photos. The final stopping place to take photos was under a willow tree with beautiful white lights. Justin dropped to one knee under the beautiful tree and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes!

I had a long list of venues I had set up to tour, but I always wanted to get married in a barn. Once we saw the venue, I woke up the next morning and canceled our appointments for all other venue tours because I knew we had our venue. We had no say in our date because of COVID, but we are so happy with it!"
