I start watching the weather a few days before a wedding... I was so worried, because Sunday was calling for 90% chance of rain. Noooooo!!! However, Saturday afternoon, I decided to check again, and BOOM! No rain after 10am!! Holla!!!

The weather was partly cloudy and 65. I can deal with that! I couldn't wait to roll up at Glasbern Inn and shoot this amazing wedding with all the beautiful foliage and little nooks and crannies Glasbern has!

Their story...

Sometimes the most beautiful things in life are the ones you never see coming...

It all started with a random Slack message (Slack is like texting on a computer for those who don't know! 😉 ) And for the record, Hannah technically made the first move since she sent that message. Hannah and Eric both worked at DEG, a Kansas City advertising agency, when they were put on the same accounts in January 2016. A conversation that began with ad analytics slowly turned to music and food and how to dress like a hipster in the Midwest. In July, Eric finally asked Hannah out to pizza. They haven't stopped talking since.

But there was a small problem. Eric had just accepted a job in Omaha, about 3 hours away. They decided this newfound friendship was worth it and made every effort to see each other, taking turns traveling the 183.5 miles between Omaha and Kansas City. They did for six months as they not only saw the mileage on their cars grow, but also their love. In early 2017, Hannah followed her heart to Omaha so they could truly begin building a life together.

Eric has taught Hannah how to love ramen and Hannah's taught Eric about the un-ironic pleasures of Hallmark movies. (Seriously guys, they're good movies - give them a chance!) They've traveled up and down the east coast, watched and laughed through every episode of New Girl, ate tons of hoagies (or subs, depending on where you're from), and take care of their perfect little cat Kami.

With so much uncertainty around when they could have a wedding due to COVID-19, Hannah and Eric decided to get legally married on their original wedding date of April 26th in the most 2020 way possible - in their apartment with their parents and siblings on Zoom. Although it wasn't the way they planned the day to go, it was special in it's own way. And what better way to spend their one year anniversary than with the wedding they planned to have all along?
