Destined encounters. Moments in which we give control to the universe and trust that what is to come will be the greatest adventure of all. We take that step towards our future, often uncertain and wavering, only to discover a journey abounding with more love then we dreamed possible. Aubrey and Mike's love story is one of true destiny and the love these two share is visible in these ever-beautiful images we captured in Downtown Bethlehem.
How they met: Our story began not too long ago, when I was 18 years old. At the time I was working at a restaurant called Cali Burrito. Every Wednesday, this guy would come in for lunch on his break. Each week, he would order the same exact thing. Eventually, I had his order ready for him by the time he would get to the register to pay. One day, he got the guts up to ask me for my number. If you know me at all, you know that I instantly declined and said “I’ll take yours, but I’m not giving you mine. I didn’t think much of it, and just hung it up on the wall at work. But it didn’t end there! Being the persistent person that he is, Mike continued to come in each Wednesday, to get the “usual”. Fast forward four years, when I was 22,. I was having trouble with my car, and as everyone knows, Mike is that “car guy”, so I asked him to come and help me. He fixed the starter in my car, and from that day forward, we talked everyday. Our first “date” we ended up going to his buddy’s house up north. Where his friend lived, they had snow. In an attempt to impress me, he drove his mustang which had drag tires on it. We all know what happens next…yep, you guessed it! We got stuck! He wasn’t thrilled but since we were together, we couldn’t help but be all smiles. Till this day, we still look back on this day.
Their engagement story: Now here we are, four years later, engaged and preparing to begin our “forever”. I had expressed to Mike that when the time comes to ask for my hand in marriage, I wanted my family to be there with us, and Mike granted my wish. He asked me to marry him, in downtown Bethlehem, in front of one of my favorite restaurants, Tapas on Main. The moment was absolutely amazing and definitely unexpected. It was truly one of the best days of our lives. We are so excited to start this next chapter in our lives with the love and support of our family and friends.
Aren't they the cutest?!!!
“Maybe we’ve lived a thousand lives before this one and in each of them we’ve found each other ... I know I’ve spent each life before this one searching for you. Not someone like you but you, for your soul and mine must always come together.”
